      Verdict

LIGEIA has the best form on show after going close to catching her odds-on stablemate Our Queenie at Lingfield on her debut. She can go one better in this with her low weight denying stable jockey Richard Hughes the ride and he partners Amontillado instead. The latter has some catching up to do to match Jana while one of the newcomers wouldn't have to be anything special to get involved. Assoluta and Kendal Mint are worth noting along with Gown, but Simma is a half-sister to three winners and can could prove best of the debutants.
