Verdict

SONGBIRD boasts the highest rating of these by virtue of being raised 18lb for a facile victory at Yarmouth. If the handicapper has got it right, the Yorkshire Oaks entry may well prove the one to beat so Lady Cecil's filly gets a tentative vote. Whippy Cream owes her high mark to a third in the Italian Oaks but she was well beaten in a Listed event last time and Bite Of The Cherry has also come up short at this level on more than one occasion. Kikonga steps up to pattern company for the first time having won at Ascot recently and should confirm running with Saint Hilary while Seal Of Approval is another handicap winner trying her luck in a higher grade. Spicy Dal ran well for second over track and trip in June and looks best of the rest.
