In depth

Verdict

While Brookley Lady sets the standard with a fine introduction behind Ballydoyle's Samuel Morse at the Curragh, the winner's stable is beginning to emerge from the doldrums and introduce CATHERINEOFARAGON, who is closely related to the useful juvenile Rumplestilskin. Evening Star, by Holy Roman Emperor out of a sister to Machiavellian, is one to note in the market though Jim Bolger's Purple Glow is related to several very speedy types and could prove the biggest danger.
