Verdict

World Citizen improved to win by the narrowest margin at Punchestown on New Year's Eve but had earlier been behind Misca Musca over this C&D. The latter was raised 7lb and hasn't been in that kind of form subsequently and was behind Chestnut Charlie at Naas on Sunday when the latter was running his best race for a very long time. PRINCE OF MILAN is better known as a chaser but reverted to hurdles on a very fair mark at Fairyhouse last month and wasn't beaten far behind the in-form Speed Dial. He's only gone up 2lb so this looks a good opportunity to lose his maiden tag over timber. Shanroe Society hadn't shown much before a comfortable success at Thurles and though raised 8lb it will be a surprise if he's not in the shake-up.
