In depth

Verdict

SCEILG was facing fast ground and this trip for the first time when beaten a short-head by Stephen Hero at Clonmel. His young rider was unable to keep him straight or he would have won and though Jim Bolger won't be happy with a 5lb rise it's probably justified as he looks capable of better. He's handed the vote though League Of Nations has to be respected as the son of Galileo should get the stamina test he requires. Senyuman made a winning handicap debut at Dundalk beating today's rival Relay into second. The latter won subsequently and was facing heavy ground when beaten a long way at Limerick last time. Sweet Refusal looks the main threat as she wasn't far behind the selection at the Curragh and is better off at the weights.
