Verdict

STRANDFIELD LADY has had a fine season and her only moderate efforts have come when sent over 1m4f. She has climbed the weights as expected but is still reasonably treated and has the advantage of her regular partner, the excellent Daryl Byrne, claiming a valuable 7lbs allowance. Kardyle Hope is very consistent but doesn't win as often as she should and may be a few pounds high in the weights. After scoring over 1m4 and 1m3f, Quench The Flame found 1m6f much too far in the Amateur Derby at the Curragh and will be much better at today's trip while the booking of Johnny Murtagh for Gleaming Silver is a positive as Ger Lyons' charge has slipped to a fair mark nowadays. The three-year-old Dan Noir is also nicely treated and can get involved from his position at the bottom of the handicap.
