Verdict

Cradle Mountain doesn't look a stable star on what we've seen so far and will need major improvement to justify Group 1 entries. Letter Focus is out of a mare who has produced winners with her first three foals including the useful Leitir Mor so he's worth watching in the market though this looks destined for Dermot Weld and VALAC. He started odds-on for his debut on soft ground at Leopardstown but found Hans Holbein just too strong over that 1m2f so with that under his belt and a shorter trip he's taken to recoup losses. Weld also runs Royal Ascot Trip, who looks one to keep an eye on for the future.
