Verdict

Chrysanthemum was engaged in a similar event at Cork yesterday where the competition didn't look as strong. Devotion has been a massive disappointment this season though she's probably better at today's trip on ground with plenty of give. Aidan O'Brien also runs Purple, whose only victory came in a moderate event at Killarney and races at this level for the first time. MANIEREE ended her three-year-old campaign with victories at Group 3 and 2 level but didn't reappear until August. She's hardly done herself justice in three runs but will find this much less taxing than the Prix L'Opera where she ran last time and is handed the vote. Loreto is progressing nicely and deserves her crack at this level after a smooth success in a Listowel handicap.
