Verdict

Fiona Mullins was on board when Goldboy stepped up to 2m4f at Clonmel and produced an emphatic victory. This is much tougher but her claim is a bonus and her mount will prove difficult to beat though MUMBO BAY is just preferred. Patrick Mullins takes the ride again on the son of Vinnie Roe, who was a very impressive winner over this trip on his debut at Cork. Yes Sir Brian won a Punchestown bumper in February and very nearly caused an upset when getting within a short-head of Wicklow Brave at Listowel last month so he must be a threat along with Mike McCann, who looked as though a longer trip would be ideal when making a winning debut at Perth. Aidan O'Brien and Jim Bolger are represented by newcomers King Leon and No Print Nor Plan and both should be respected in a much stronger bumper than usual.
