Verdict

School Holidays made a promising start in a big field at the Curragh in August and wasn't entirely disgraced when stepped up to Listed company there a couple of weeks later. Notgonnagiveup had little chance with the winner when runner-up to Picture Perfect over 7f here last month but was staying on at the finish and will have come on a great deal for the experience. The well-connected Alsalwa attracted plenty of support on her racecourse bow at the Curragh last July but couldn't quite cope with Sagacious. The form of that race hasn't worked out too well however and there looks to be some potentially nice newcomers here. They include Dermot Weld's ASKEW, who is related to a couple of high-class winners in France and The USA and Jim Bolger's Go Hiontach, who is a half-brother to several winners in the USA.
