In depth

Verdict

Rothesay Chancer is chasing a hat-trick over this C&D but has been found wanting in this higher grade in the past and is now on a career-high mark. FAST SHOT was only third to the top weight here on his penultimate start but is 5lb better off today and won well over 6f at Redcar last time. Tim Easterby's gelding looks progressive and can come out on top today. Take Root stepped up on previous form when second at Catterick but both Saxonette and Irish Boy might struggle to reverse recent running with Rothesay Chancer.
