Verdict

ZEMSKY failed to land the odds on his latest start in a point-to-point at Kirkistown in November but Ian Ferguson's eight-year-old, who had decent form under Rules when with Nicky Henderson, is fancied to make amends here with champion amateur rider Derek O'Connor in the plate. Bow School is a C&D winner and won a hunter chase at Wetherby last May. He faces a stiff task at the weights but could easily run into a place, while there should be more come from Spellchecker, who won a maiden chase for Howard Johnson at Sedgefield last March and will strip fitter for a recent fifth between the flags at Alnwick. Markadam won over this trip at the same meeting but will find this tougher.
