Verdict

Sir Mark Prescott's progressive looking stayer PHOENIX FLIGHT looks to have solid claims on this contest ahead of Danzatrice and Pass The Port. The selection took advantage of return to winnable mark last time out to score in similar company. The form has since been franked and although he'll have to contend with a seven pound heavier burden he is allotted a weight for age allowance on hi turf debut so the terms look good. Danzatrice looks well treated here off bottom weight and just one pound heavier than his near miss over a longer trip here last time; Musselburgh is also a course she likes. Pass The Port is one from one over course and distance and should go well off a mark one pound heavier than his last victory. Near miss merchant Gordonsville has run well in better races than this on his last two outings and should be able to mount a challenge although his mark still looks a little high while Los Nadis took a seller on his first visit here last time and has won off a higher rating in the past so needs to be considered. Plenty in with chances of challenging for honours here but they all look to be in the shadow of Phoenix Flight.
