Verdict

We've run out of patience with Fieldgunner Kirkup while Powerful Presence keeps finding one too good and may have preferred a softer surface, though did finish ahead of Mowhoob at Ayr last month. Al Khan has picked up a penalty for winning at Carlisle 12 days ago and will need more now. KING OF MACEDON was repeatedly denied a run at Epsom last time after an improved second at Thirsk. With his stable in great form, the three-year-old can make amends here if not trapped wide. Red Pike and Ralphy Boy are consistent and look the pick of the remainder.
