    Verdict

According to the official handicapper we should have a triple dead-heat on our hands here. Morever, the contest is further confused by the two prime contenders, ADLINGTON and Screenprint, both being able to make the running. Choosing between the pair is tricky but preference is for the Richard Fahey inmate, a brave second at Newcastle last time, primarily because he gives the impression of being more straightforward than his main rival. Nevertheless Michael Bell would not have ventured this far north without reason and there should be little between them. Janet's Pearl is is no way discounted but hasn't been since on the track since September and may just need the run.
