In depth

Verdict

Little Eden is preferred to the penalised Big Slick and Linnet Park. The selection may not have beaten a great deal on his belated debut but the handicapper has taken that into account and he starts life on a very feasible mark. He had plenty up his sleeve at Southwell and has the scope to run up a sequence and is in the right hands to do so whilst his yard's good record here is another positive. Big Slick was making his debut in a handicap and over the minimum last time and merits respect as he bids to follow up that success. Linnet Park made a pleasing return to action when second at Nottingham despite racing too keenly; she had The Little Fizzer behind her on that occasion. Dalarossie also rates a mention but our idea of the winner is Little Eden.
