In depth

Verdict

Banaadeer, a Listed winner from just four starts in South Africa, is the only one of these not to have run in the UK. His stablemate Fountain Of Youth has been acquired from Aidan O'Brien and won a Group 3 at the Curragh in June. Medicean Man was in superb form here last season and landed this by a neck from AHTOUG before finishing with a close fourth in the Al Quoz Sprint. The runner-up also continued in good form and with a recent run under his belt might just be sharp enough to turn the tables and land this. Jamesie, a Group 3 winner in Ireland, scored over 6f here a year ago and was conceding 6lb when not far behind Fountain Of Youth at the Curragh. Speed Hawk ran very well behind Beat Baby last week and should be winning soon and though Fityaan was beaten 7l by the selection last January he was conceding 4lb and gets 10lb here so has to be a threat. Lancelot Du Lac has won five times in his career but rarely runs over the minimum trip.
