Treble Jig has been in outstanding form at Jebel Ali landing two Listed races on dirt but he's shot up the weights and may not be as effective on turf. Shimraan raced in good company for Alain Royer-Dupre last season ending the campaign with a superb run in the Prix Dollar when Champion Stakes winner Cirrus Des Aigles was just in front. In that kind of form he'd be unbeatable here though his best form has been on ground with some give. Fallen Idol was purchased for 250,000gns after finishing runner-up in a Goodwood Listed race in October and gave every indication that he'll be repaying some of that when runner-up to stablemate and today's rival Quick Wit here last month when the shock 2010 Duty Free winner Al Shemali finished strongly into third. Frankie rode Fallen Idol that day but the fact that he's on board Shimraan here looks significant. Ed Vaughan's DANCE AND DANCE has been racing in Group company including when making his debut here last month behind Musir. This is his first ever start at the trip but has always looked as though it would suit and he is given the vote at what should be a fair price.
