In depth

Verdict

It's hard to know what to make of Comicality, who won a poor maiden on the opening day of the new season here, though he hasn't been overburdened. Canwinn invariably goes well here and looked ready to win again soon when returning from a break to finish runner-up behind Haatheq over a mile a fortnight ago. Maath Gool reappeared to beat Funon at Abu Dhabi and the runner-up went one better at Jebel Ali last week. JAMHOORI only just failed to catch Mundahesh over the track and trip last time and, though never successful on the surface, should make a bold bid to go one better and gets the vote. Maraheb is in a different league to these and will be contesting better races later but the former John Dunlop inmate hasn't run since March of last year and maybe best watched.
