Rerouted won a handicap over the course and distance at the end of January before reverting to Turf over a longer trip where he didn't perform as well. He had FREE WHEELING behind when gaining that victory but there are good reasons why the Godolphin colt can reverse the form and take this. He was having his first start since arriving from Australia that day and came wide into the straight before staying on nicely so, with that under his belt, he looks the one to be on. Firebeam, a regular pattern race performer in the UK, started favourite on his debut here in January but never showed while Red Duke has mainly disappointed since landing the Group 2 Superlative Stakes at Newmarket in 2011. Arnold Lane was well behind Rerouted earlier but produced a much improved effort over 6f on Thursday when narrowly beaten by United Color.
