Dubai Iconic is well enough treated and would have been the selection but for the worst possible draw. Innocuous and Sand Stamp fought out the finish over the trip last time and though that was on Turf both are equally at home on today's surface and should get competitive again. The former's stablemate Alraased had some decent form on Polytrack for John Dunlop and Paul Hanagan will ensure he gets a good ride from his low draw but Curzon Line, a progressive type for Godolphin last season, isn't well berthed and could just need this, only his second start since June. DISCOVERER, who won twice on Polytrack for John Gosden, finished behind Innocuous on his debut here but showed really good pace for a long way and with that under his belt he's taken to land what looks a competitive finale. Top weight Alnashmy won a similar handicap a year ago and looks a big threat after a pipe-opener at Jebel Ali in late November.
