Verdict

Rangefinder was quite well backed at Uttoxeter last month but found little off the bridle and could only finish fourth. He's since run poorly on the level and is taken on here with GREEN MINING. Tim Vaughan's seven-year-old has found one too good in both starts since winning over 2m at Worcester in May but stays this longer trip well enough and sets a fair standard here. Tom Wade is still a maiden on the Flat and over jumps but has gone close on a few occasions and should be hard to keep out of the frame again. Towcester bumper winner Jackstown must also have some sort of chance.
