In depth

Verdict

Double Deputy is out for quick compensation, and earns the vote over The Sliotar and Presenting Jack. Double Deputy was pulled up at Perth just three days ago, and there seemed no excuse for that poor performance, but having won twice round here earlier in the season, we shall give him a chance to make amends, in a race that looks no stronger. One of his main rivals is The Sliotar who showed improved form when only narrowly denied at Uttoxeter last time, and who can benefit from a step up in trip today. Presenting Jack was a very easy winner between the flags on his last outing over four months ago, and is with a powerful yard, so should be followed. However, on this occasion it should pay to side with the more experienced Double Deputy.
