An ultra-competitive Listed handicap in which most would have some sort of chance on their best form. Houston Dynimo has certainly improved for the switch to David Pipe's yard and it is no surprise that Tom Scudamore keeps faith with the nine-year-old after his second to Notarfbad in this grade at Newton Abbot when Dursey Sound and stablemate Shotavodka finished well beaten. Pantxoa was second over a longer trip here last month but was only fifth to Shotavodka at Haydock in the spring when Ballincurrig was brought down at the first. Fox Appeal has a touch of class but the weight to match and Attaglance is hard to predict nowadays, but Rum And Butter can probably be forgiven a poor run in the Galway Plate and could easily bounce back. ASTRACAD has his stamina to prove over this trip but goes well fresh and his record in tough handicaps stands up to scrutiny. If Sam Twiston-Davies can conserve his energy, he could outpace these. Drumlang has gone up another pound since his winning run was brought to an end at Stratford but still looks best of the rest.
