Verdict

SIR CYCROID HAWK is a speculative choice in the finale; Black Annie has shown glimpses of ability and is respected as a threat, while Wicked Streak and Premier Kadam are others that have shown they are capable of finding their levels once they gain more experience. Weldone Honey is also worth a mention as one to bear in mind if the market throws up some positive vibes. However, Alan Swinbank is a noted trainer for this type of event and would appear to have another potentially useful recruit on his hands in the shape of Sir Cycroid Hawk. As a half-brother to useful sprinters Green Park and Whitbarrow, the son of Hawk Wing is bred to be a lot speedier than the majority of his rivals. However, as other members of his family have stayed a trip it's very feasible that Swinbank has placed Sir Cycroid Hawk to good effect in his bid to make a winning debut.
