Verdict

Some progressive chasers tackle several old favourites in this Listed contest with the weights headed by Qulinton, who is bidding to confirm Summer Plate running with Pilgrims Lane, North Island and Buck Mulligan. David Pipe's charge never figured in the Galway Plate next time and could be found wanting again here off his new mark. Mad Moose did well to win a novice event over 2m at Uttoxeter last time and is progressing nicely, while Ostland may have just found 3m1f too far at Bangor last time and can't be ignored. Alderley Rover would be an immensely popular winner but hasn't raced since winning over 2m at Aintree in May and Benny Be Good also return from a break. My Moment and Peachey Moment have been beaten in lesser company lately, but Jamsie Hall could be interesting with McCoy doing the steering and Noble Alan could figure if at his best. NEPTUNE EQUESTER looked a fine jumping prospect last year but rather lost his way. He's come back to form on the Flat this summer and is very well handicapped at his best. He could leave these trailing in his wake if his jumping holds up.
