In depth

Verdict

Mont Royale is penalised for October's Kelso success and didn't run as well at Doncaster in February though wasn't suited by the softer ground. Countersign should be winning soon though he lacked pace in both starts in October and could be caught out again. Exitas ran a shocker at Fontwell after a promising start at Plumpton so is difficult to weigh up and a chance is taken with the newcomer KRASNODAR. Malcolm Jefferson is always to be feared in bumpers and it would be no shock if the four-year-old were to make a successful debut. The remaining trio have shown a little promise and the market should tell us more.
