In depth

Verdict

GIFTED LEADER, a useful staying handicapper on the Flat, was having only his second start since 2011 when a close second to Vulcanite at Stratford last month and should be ready to get back on the winning trail. Get Back In Line was around 9l behind that day when strongly fancied but that didn't look his true form and he can do better. Roman Flight ran much better than his starting price suggested at Aintree having previously been a close third at Haydock while King Of Strings landed a bumper on this track on his racecourse debut. Town Mouse will appreciate the quicker conditions than most and ran very well at Ascot last time.
