In depth

Verdict

A trappy hurdle here but something has to win and the main protagonists look to be Mamlook, Chip N Pin and Paradise Walk and the tentative vote is given to Mamlook. The selection hails from a yard that can ready its debutantes and has won over one mile seven furlongs on the flat. He looks sure to stay and gets our vote. Chip N Pin rates the main danger on his latest third behind Smugglers Bay but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time. Paradise Walk has won at up to 10 furlongs on the flat and should be watched in the market but his stable are not renowned for first time out winners. Jeu Du Roseau showed promise on his debut but has since disappointed but his yard are shrewd and he should be watched in the market. Pf the others Reflective Glory has been placed at up to 9 furlongs on the flat and is another with place claims but for the winner we return to Mamlook to small stakes.
