Verdict

Many of these will be warming up for bigger races at the track later this summer but this is still a competitive affair in which several have decent claims. Micheal Flips easily beat Fiendish Flame at Ludlow before finishing second at Perth and the runner-up franked the form of that victory at the same course 12 days ago. Ostland and The Disengager are at their best at this time of year while Bocciani won at Ayr three weeks ago, though has been raised 8lb since. The once-smart Finger Onthe Pulse is still capable of the odd good run while Oscar Hill has proved consistent and Joker Choker would be a blot of the handicap if able to recapture his best form and has more scope than Stratford scorer Gentleman Anshan. Midnight Sail can't be ignored but the mare ANEYEFORANEYE looks to be on a steep upward curve and looks capable of taking a further rise in the weights in her stride.
