Verdict

Though this bumper has been divided this year, Malcolm Jefferson has won three of the last seven renewals and he'll be expecting HIGH HOPPER to enhance the yard's already impressive record. Though running green on his debut at Carlisle, he showed plenty of promise and will know more today. Smart Talk was an impressive winner between the flags in February and she is receiving a stone from David Pipe's Polytrack winner Prince Of Poets. Another mare, Kara Tara, won at Hexham in March and Evening Stanley wasn't disgraced on his debut at Huntingdon. Newcomers Casper King and Fell Runner are also worth a market check.
