Verdict

JACK THE GENT showed definite signs of a resurgence having tumbled down the handicap when runner-up at Doncaster last time. Racing off the same mark today and dropping down a grade, George Moore's charge can return to winning ways. Heavy going may have been responsible for the poor run of Un Anjou at Sandown last time and he's not easily overlooked while there may also be more to come from Book 'Em Danno. The latter won over 2m4f here a fortnight ago, but Regal D'Estruval's recent success came in a seller over hurdles at Fakenham and he's harder to fancy.
