Verdict

From those with previous experience: SAINDOR caught the eye on debut at Aintree and is readily preferred ahead of Ackertac and Master Cardor Visa. Form the others: Everdon Book, who cost 15,000 euros, is out of a half-sister to Cooldine and is one of the more interesting debutants, while Dune Shine (like Dust In Time) has speed and stamina in the pedigree but will make limited appeal unless the betting market strongly suggests otherwise. Master Cador Visa has experience of the Irish point-to-point scene and wasn't knocked about when his chance had gone in an Ascot bumper three weeks ago. He is open to improvement and should be monitored closely in the betting, as should Ackertac, even though he appeared to lack a change of gear on his introduction at Worcester. However, this seem to revolve around how well Saindor has progressed since his introduction at Liverpool in October. Pyracantha, who was well down the field at Aintree, came out and won a similar race at Market Rasen at the weekend, so there are positives to take from the evidence available and, weak as it is, everything points towards a big run from Saindor.
