    Verdict

Muhtenbar can get the better of Glory Be and Ballyjohnboy Lord in what appears to be a three-horse contest on paper. Muhtenbar was pulled up in a decent contest at Kempton on Boxing day, but prior to that, Henrietta Knight's charge had run well in defeat at both Huntingdon and here at Ludlow, on that occasion going down by just a head. If forgiven the Kempton run, he must take all the beating. Glory Be has not impressed on either of her last two visits to the Shropshire track, and although she gets the mare's allowance, cannot be fancied above the selection. The money was left in the bookies' satchels when Ballyjohnboy Lord was hammered out of sight by High Chimes at Chepstow 12 days ago, and he would probably not have been second had another rival stayed upright. However, that was his first outing since last May, and he can only improve for the run. The other pair here make no appeal, and really, this does present Muhtenbar with a gilt-edged opportunity.
