In depth

Verdict

Quincy Des Pictons and Alpha Way both have a 7lb penalty to carry for respective recent wins at Bangor and Hereford and are taken on with NOSECOND CHANCE. Charlie Mann's gelding is still only a five-year-old but already looks as though he'll make a better chaser than hurdler, jumping well to get the better of Hellfire Club at Hereford last month. The extra half-mile here shouldn't be a problem. Toby Belch could be interesting as he was a decent sort over timber and ran well for a long way in a decent novice event at Uttoxeter but Present To You continues to disappoint and Downward Spiral has been found wanting since overturning the odds-on Helpston at Uttoxeter in the spring.
