In depth

Verdict

Kedgeree was well held when third behind Thunder Rock over course and distance on his reappearance last month but Henry Daly's runners here always warrant the utmost of respect and he may be worth another chance, getting the vote ahead of Storm of Applause and Sole Agent. The last mentioned has been running behind some useful looking recruits in beginners' chases so far and has seemingly been let in fairly lightly for his debut in a handicap over fences so has to be respected. Charlie Morlock's New Mischief has a long absence to overcome but that need not be of any great concern but lack of chasing experience may be. Roussea ran better here last time and has to be respected although a bigger threat may come from Storm of Applause, who has shown a consistent level of form. Marginal preference in a poor but competitive looking contest though is for Kedgeree.
