In depth

Verdict

There's nothing iffy about IFFY and he should take all the beating in this novice chase with William Bonney likeliest to chase him home. Kayceecee has struggled to recapture his best form for his current connections and is hard to recommend at present whilst Catch The Stars got no further than the first last time and has been well held on all three previous starts over fences. She's been competing on soft ground whereas she won her point on fast ground so may prove better suited by these conditions. William Bonney has been frustrating over fences as he hasn't reached the heights that once looked likely but he usually runs to a relatively consistent level and may be able to take advantage of any mistakes. Iffy has taken home a share of the prize money on three of his four starts over fences and has run behind Kalahari King, Idarah and Song Of Songs. He has emerged from those contests with plenty of credit, has his ideal conditions and faces nothing of that quality in this line-up and Iffy makes plenty of appeal.
