In depth

Verdict

KID CASSIDY fell when a hot favourite on his chasing debut at Lingfield in November but he looks to have far more ability and scope than his rivals in this and a clear round should see him back in the winner's enclosure. The Black Baron's form figures aren't too impressive but he would have won easily at Fakenham last time had he not fallen at the last and could make a race of it with the selection if his confidence hasn't been affected. Silver Gypsy has been placed in both starts over the larger obstacles but she could struggle to get in a blow here if her likely market rivals are on song.
