      Verdict

Old McDonald sets a clear standard and may prove hard to beat but he'll be priced accordingly so it may be worth having a speculative interest on FLAMING GORGE. Half of Henrietta Knight's twelve course winners over the past five seasons have come in bumpers, including in this race last year at 25-1. The yard have been amongst the winners and Flaming Gorge looks the part on paper. Old McDonald ran as well as could have been expected in a hot Punchestown bumper on debut and he built on that promise when chasing home Tavern Times on his reappearance. Quickly Origny finished in midfield on debut last term in a race that was won by the smart prospect Riverside Theatre. His yard traditionally does well in these races and a market move for him should be respected but we'll have a token interest on Flaming Gorge.
