There are sufficient reasons to field against the likely short-priced favourite, Will The Till, but selecting the winner may prove to be more problematical. The pin fell on HERECOMESTANLEY although Stealing Moments and a trio of Irish raiders all flitted across the radar. The selection is one of three horses that are officially well in (Will The Till and Archimboldo are the others) following his final flight fall at Uttoxeter when looking the likely winner of a race he'd won the previous year. He also landed this race last year, is clearly in decent heart and looks set to make a bold bid for a repeat. Will The Till won readily at Huntingdon after which connections stated that they felt they'd discovered the key to him. He may well be able to follow up if that proves to be the case but there's always the chance that this run could come too quickly. Stealing Moments was well supported on debut for this yard at Southwell and could go well back in handicap company whilst Misterinbetween attracted interest ahead of his handicap bow at Perth and hails from a respected yard. Fellow Irish raiders Victor Grumps and Ryan's Academy merit market checks as does Bayberry King who is interestingly handicapped at present. Not an easy race to call but Herecomestanley holds solid claims and is selected. (Ian Ogg)
