Verdict

An interesting opener where we will take AMIE MAGNIFICENT to give weight and a beating to all her rivals, while Ci Vediamo and Dot's Delight look the main dangers. The selection was the decisive winner of a fast-ground maiden hurdle at Roscommon last time, and is stepped back up in trip for her first British hurdles start. This easy circuit should not ask too many questions of her stamina and there is no better judge of pace than her pilot, so we will side with her. Dot's Delight shows consistency in her form but has proved tricky enough to win with, boasting just two wins from 25 career starts in all disciplines. Even so she acts on fast ground and has put in three good efforts in defeat from four hurdles starts, so cannot be ruled out. Ci Vediamo makes her hurdling debut here for Nicky Henderson, who has a very good record with the females that he trains. This four-year-old was with Ralph Beckett on the Flat, where she was last rated 64, so if she can jump a hurdle then she should be able to have a say today. Flutter Bye has not yet really proved that she stays this far and her best run was on soft ground, so we will take her on.
