    Verdict

Kev The Car is probably better than he showed at Southwell three weeks ago while Champagne Chaser only found one too good here last month. Jackfield was third at Towcester on debut but was beaten more than 18 lengths. This might go to one of several nicely-bred newcomers with ROB ROBIN, by a noted NH sire, heading the short-list ahead of Laurium. The latter is a half-brother to two winning jumpers but may need more time. Smoking Jacket and Vestige are others worth monitoring if attracting market support.
