Verdict

A disappointing turnout which would normally lead to fears of a messy race with no obvious pacesetter. However, when it comes to judging pace there is arguably none better than Frankie Dettori and there's a good chance he'll take this race by the scruff of the neck on FARHH and lead them home. A runner-up to none other Frankel on his last two starts and Nathaniel in the Eclipse before that, the Godolphin colt is a class act and is fancied to hold off the attentions of Moonlight Cloud. The latter was an impressive winner of a Group 1 at Deauville but only managed fourth when hampered behind Exelcebration in the Jacques Le Marois at the same track last time. She can finish further ahead of fifth-placed Caspar Netscher here, who usually comes up short at the highest level, while Sarkiyla is still improving but will need a big step forward in this company.
