        Verdict

        POPPANAN can land the finale at the main expense of Autumn Blades and Baunagain. The selection's form is working out quite well as the horse that won the race in which he was third earlier in the month has won twice since. Simon Dow's charge has been dropped by a pound since that performance which should enable him to finish there or thereabouts. Autumn Blades is a consistent sort who may have benefited from a stronger pace at Kempton and he's capable of finishing in the money in this company. He's closely matched with Baunagain on their running last time so the Chapple-Hyam runner has to enter calculations too whilst Learo Dochais represents a respected combination but he does have a little to prove. So, too, does Desert Dreamer who disappointed just five days ago but he's presumably none the worse for wear and could figure as could Sunshine Always if he takes to this track.
