Verdict

A decent contest to conclude proceedings, where six of the nine runners have course and distance winning form to draw upon, and we'll take ANNABELLE'S CHARM to win it from Action Impact and Summer Winds. The selection won what was admittedly a poor maiden hard held here last time, and she has not been set an arduous task from a mark of 72 for her handicap debut. She clearly likes this track and may be well ahead of the handicapper, so we will give her the vote. Action Impact has three course and distance wins to his name and remains on the same mark as when comfortably dispensed with at Great Leighs last time. With the yard going well he could get closer now back on this racecourse but he would need to improve again to win. Summer Winds is another whose mark has not altered since finishing runner-up in a similar contest here last time. He would prefer a very strong pace to be seen to best effect and if he gets that he'd go close. Folio is back on a handy mark and is in great form at present, though he has never acted as well here as he clearly does at Great Leighs so we'll take him on. Millie's Rock is up 6lbs for winning last time and is not one to dismiss lightly as her form is ultra consistent, and Kevin Ryan's filly would not be a surprise winner, but preference is for Annabelle's Charm.
