        Verdict

        The trio for the shortlist here are VINCES, Expensive Problem and Resentful Angel and the vote goes to Vinces. The selection won over this course and distance earlier in the month when he beat Freedom Fire. That form was franked on Wednesday when Freedom Fire came out and won well. Expensive Problem could be the main danger as he won earlier in the month here when he beat Charlie Smirke. That win came over a mile but he has got form over further in Spain so the longer trip should not be a problem today. Resentful Angel failed to get home over 1m3f at Kempton last time so she could be worth another chance now that she is dropped in trip. The Richard Fahey-trained Painted Sky can prove best of the others but he was beaten in a seller last time and he looks to have more on his plate today. This looks a good opportunity for Vinces who can make it back-to-back wins.
