In depth

Verdict

Another claimer and this one can be taken by WANCHAI WHISPER, who holds the leading hand at these weights, while Avow looks next best. David Evans looks to have found a good opportunity for his Bahamian Bounty filly Wanchai Whisper, who backed up a Kempton claimer win with a handicap success back at that track next time over the Christmas period. She has not been far away on either start since and therefore remains in good form, acts well here and looks well-in, so we'll give her a confident vote. Avow has also shown that he acts here in two previous defeats at the track, and he is better treated than most at the weights. The drop back to the minimum trip is potentially more problematic for one who has raced only over further, but he is not ruled out. Out The Ring is blinkered today after connections clearly feel that cheek pieces are insufficient and he does have work to do to be winning, and Blue Neptune looks a better proposition after his seller effort last time, but Wanchai Whisper will take some beating here.
