In depth

Verdict

Watching the market is advised in races of this nature and in the absence of that information, HUDIBRAS is recommended with Silent Warning and Yes Minister others worthy of note. Charlie Mann's charge finished second in a particularly hot bumper at Doncaster. A half-brother to Edmo Yewkay, it would be no surprise to see him capable of acting on this surface. Silent Warning is related to a number of winning sprinters. Any money seen this afternoon should be heeded. Yes Minister did not do a lot wrong on his previous visit to Lingfield, especially as he had bid to give 10lb away to the winner of that contest. Keepthebooton finished fourth in an Irish point won by Paul Nolan's prolific scorer, Joncol. Decent Lord appears not to have inherited any of his father's ability. Turfenmill seemed to find it all happening a little too quickly at Doncaster on debut and with Timmy Murphy booked for the ride, he makes appeal at those at longer odds. Riverboat Gambler is sure to be popular from the Gary Moore stable. His first run suggests that he could be useful when reaching maturity. Hudibras appears best equipped to score this afternoon and is our call.
