Verdict

Icelander got the better of a below par hot favourite in a claimer over 1m4f here last time but beat little else and this is tougher. Sakhee's Pearl went close when dropped into this grade over C&D recently but today's rival SAOI was only a neck behind in third. They re-oppose on the same terms today but the latter has more scope on only his third start since June and gets the nod. Daffydowndilly is still improving judged on last month's victory at Kempton and has to come into the reckoning despite a 4lb rise.
