Verdict

MISTER ROSS is the pick with Onenightinlisbon and Dawson Creek the dangers. Mister Ross was backed as if defeat was out of the question on handicap debut and duly delivered. On that evidence, the winners penalty should not stop him on this occasion. Onenightinlisbon ran a stinker at Kempton on her latest start. It could be worth putting it down to it being a case of a bad day at the office. Dawson Creek pulled much too hard in the early stages at Great Leighs so a line can safely be drawn through that line of form. He does know how to win here. Hessian is unexposed over this far but ran well over an inadequate six furlongs last time out. Burnbrake has struggled in similar events on the turf so the market may prove the best guide. Certain Justice was entitled to need his first run back for almost a year though it is somewhat worrying that the run was followed by another absence of a couple of months. Adantino is on a long losing run. Mister Ross is a confident call in the finale.
